Workshops last about 1 hour
Start the summer holidays with a bang. Masie the Touring Potter will be holding taster throwing workshops for children aged 10 and above on Friday 25 July.
These hour long sessions begin with an introduction to the ceramic process and a demonstration, then you will prepare your clay and start using the wheel.
In the class you will produce 2 small pots or bowls on the potters wheel. At the end of the class you will get to choose an artisan glaze colour for you pots to be finished in.
Masie will fire and glaze your pieces at her home studio in Dorset, then return them to Doodles to be collected. This process can take up to 8 weeks.
Aprons will be provided but old clothes are best as it can get a little messy! Short nails and long hair tied back is recommended.
Places are limited to 6 people per session who each get their own wheel to work on.
