Breakages & firing problems
Very occasionally we encounter a problem when we open the kiln after a firing. Pottery can be unpredictable and there may be a weakness that doesn't present itself until it's been fired, such as a plate cracking or an area repelling the glaze.
We know how heart breaking it can be if this happens as we understand the time, love and patience that goes in to each and every painted piece. If this unfortunately does happen we will offer you either a chance to paint the same shaped piece again or give you a voucher of the same value to paint something else.
Breakages after you've collected your piece
When you return to the studio to collect your glazed & fired item, we will unwrap your piece to show you before you leave the studio. This gives you a chance to make sure you have all the items from your order and that they are in good condition. If you damage your piece after collection, we are happy to advise you and give you a quote for any repairs if possible.
Breakages of posted pieces
We are happy to post your finished pieces to you but this is at your own risk. We will securely pack your finished pottery but we are not responsible for any breakages that take place in transit.
Clay workshop problems
Our workshops are designed to give you all the advice, tips and guidance to create a fabulous piece that fires well and stays intact throughout the initial drying time and bisque firing in the kiln. Following these instructions generally means that your clay masterpiece is looking great when it's ready for painting. However, on the rare occasion there is a problem we will let you know and work with you to put your piece right. If your piece is damaged to the extent that it cannot be fixed, we will offer you the chance to take part in a different clay workshop or give you a voucher of the same value to be used in the studio.
Glass workshop problems
If your glass piece cracks or breaks as it is being fired, we will offer you the chance to take part in a different glass workshop or give you a voucher of the same value to be used in the studio.
If we cancel a workshop
In the unlikely event we need to cancel or postpone a workshop, we will give you the option of re booking onto a different workshop of the same value or give you a full refund.
If you need to cancel a workshop booking
We understand that sometimes the best laid plans need to change and you have to cancel your workshop booking, however reluctantly. You may cancel your booking up to 48 hours before the workshop begins and receive a full refund. If you cancel a workshop between 48 and 24 hours you will receive a gift certificate to attend a future class. Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the workshop start time may not receive a refund nor a voucher. When you book a workshop you agree to these terms.
Gift voucher refunds
Gift vouchers are non refundable. They are valid for a year after purchase. We do not give change for physical gift vouchers. E Gift cards can be used towards multiple workshops .
