Wed 8th Jan - Reopen in the New Year
Pottery Painting at the studio
So when are you open?
We're open 6 days a week, Tuesday to Sunday 10am-4pm, for you to visit the studio to paint.
We also hold Thursday evening 'Grown - ups evenings' to various times throughout the year.
During the school holidays we also open on selected Mondays.
Do I need to book?
To guarantee a table, then yes please. It's free and easy to do through our 'Book Now' page.
We are happy for you to visit without booking but there may not be space for you, especially during school holidays, weekends and the run up to Christmas.
So what am I booking?
The booking is for a table of up to 6 people to paint for a 2 hour session. If there are more than 6 people just get in touch to book.
Our painting sessions start at 10am, 12pm and 2pm.
Our "Grown Ups' evenings start at 7pm.
How much will it cost?
Visiting the studio is free, there's no studio fee to paint with us. The cost of the visit will depend on the items you choose to paint.
Do you have a price list?
We don't have a price list as our stock is forever changing. There are hundreds of items to choose from ranging from £4 to £45.
What is there to paint?
Far too much to list but, to give you an idea, we have plates, mugs, jugs, vases, teapots, pots and trinkets dishes, ornaments, animals, figures, money boxes, fairies, dragons, picture frames, seasonal items .... the list is endless.
Do I have to be artistic?
Absolutely not! We are plenty of tips, tricks and 'cheats' with stencils, stickers and fabulous paints that means even the least arty feeling person can paint a fabulous piece.
What happens when I finish painting?
Your pottery has to be left with us to be glazed and fired. It will be ready to collect a week later and we will keep pieces for up to 3 months if you can't collect them straight away.
How do I get into the studio for a grown ups evening when Baytree is closed?
Drive into Baytree carpark as normal and park at the end of the building on the right hand side. You will see other cars parked there. We use the side gate and will pop out to the carpark to collect everyone from about 6.50pm.
